The most courageous thing an artist can do in times when both art and courage are damned is to keep making art and the rest be damned.

Who We Are

Pudgy Productions is a lifestyle brand centered around the arts, sciences, mental health, and education paired with chill vibes and mysticism. Our names are Phillip & Shahane Sahakian-Stallworth (yup, we got married and both changed our names!), we are the founders/owners of PUDGY PRODUCTIONS LLC. Our story started when we met and fell in love while studying at Alfred University. Through our friendship and relationship we realized the lifestyle we were living drew people in and created the energy we wanted to see more of in this world. We want to enrich people's lives with handmade, unique, and ethical artwork that brings repeated joy to the owners. We want you to feel good knowing you supported a local, small, handmade business that cares about you and our environment. We simultaneously want to bridge the arts and sciences together through education and outreach! Plus, if we help change the stigmas behind cannabis and those communities most affected by the war on drugs through our fun funky adventures and podcasts then we’ll count that as a bonus!

What We Do

Pudgy Productions has a few core elements: Fine Arts (ceramics/painting/prints/digital design), Podcast DOPE Thoughtz w/ Puffie & Smokie , Education, Mental Health Awareness, & Merch. Shahane spearheads arts/ceramics by designing, creating, and testing nearly all the products in her Brookline based Studio where she creates most of the products by hand. Phillip is the head of outreach/networking, business/product development, and curation of content. He’s the wilderness expert who will be navigating the nature department of our projects! Phillips' role goes even deeper into his hobbies as a graphic designer/photographer. The Education & Marketing departments are both a team effort as we work well to balance the creativity and workload. A couple weeks ago we launched our newest product, Pudgy's Pottery Box, an at home air dry clay kit to make this often inaccessible and expensive art medium available to the masses. Virtual Pottery lessons are now being held through our zoom account to guide people through how to utilize our at home clay boxes should customers want more than the pre-recorded complimentary video within each box! In addition we hope to soon begin hosting “Welcome back to the Wilderness” events to help those in urban areas get comfortable and in touch with mother nature.. To Learn more about workshops and events please visit our “pottery & wilderness” tab.

Phillip Graduated from Alfred University in 2015 with a Dual Major Bachelors Degree in Environmental Sciences & Geology.

Shahane Graduated from Alfred University in 2015 with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art’s (Concentration in Ceramics) and a dual minor in Art History & Psychology.

100% Handmade

What does it mean to buy handmade, local, ethical, environmentally friendly, art? Let’s break it down a bit!

  • Handmade products mean you’re purchasing someones: time, love, patience, knowledge, tears, and successes. There’s a unique energy to every piece that elevates the simplest cup of coffee into a memorable breath.

  • Local products are amazing for your community! It allows for more art, revenue, and therapy into your towns and homes. When people buy and sell locally the money can accumulate instead of being depleted from your community into the pockets of billionaires. Not to mention you help people like us make a living doing what we love.

  • Our products are not sent off to be mass produced by child laborers like many of the commercial wares are. It’s just us and we make sure to use food safe clay bodies and glazes in our work. Each batch is tested for imperfections and given the proper time and care in order to achieve the right standard and quality.

  • Environmentally friendly work can be summed up as items we can reuse, that help us reduce waste, and that are recyclable. Although ceramics can’t be put in your recycling bins opting for a reusable ceramic piece can reduce our waste and consumption. We even took a couple mugs with us to an ice cream parlor; the ladies were so sweet they even rinsed the cups out for us! The best use of our recycled clay is we use them to make molds and all of our individual sale de-bowlers are made out of recycled clay!
