If you have any questions we didn’t answer here please feel free to reach out to us and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience.
Q. What types of clay do you carry/offer?
A. Usually, we stock and carry 5-7 different types of stoneware cone 6 clay, all priced at $25 per 25-pound bag. Two types of white clay, tan, speckled tan, two types of red, and a black clay as well. Members are welcome to bring in their own clay as well, but it must fire to cone 6, and you have to let one of the owners know you brought in your own clay.
Q. Does the studio carry underglazes, and are there any restrictions on commercial glazes?
A. We carry about 6 different Amaco velvet underglazes. As long as the underglazes and glazes mature and fire to cone 6, you’re all set.
Q. When can I come in and work in the studio / when is the space off-limits to members?
A. In general, monthly members are allowed in the space 24/7 with their own key. If there is a class or workshop in session, you’re welcome to still work as long as you’re respectful and don’t need the section currently in use (ex., glazing while class is throwing). We have 2 communal studio calendars that you get access to upon joining so you can see ahead of time and plan. Typically, Tuesday am and pm for class, Friday pm, Saturday, and Sunday am are when workshops happen. The only time the studio is completely closed down is during our kids’ classes with Ms. Brittany of Sunflower Creative Studios, which are on Mondays, 3:30-5 pm.
Q: Are bisque and glaze firings included in membership, and is there a maximum quantity?
A: Yes, firings are included in the cost of your membership! Specifically, each member is allowed to buy up to 2 bags of clay from us at the normal $25 rate for 25 pounds, but if you buy an extra bag that month, there is an additional firing fee tacked on ($20). If you find you are making so much that you need whole kilns at a time, we also have a kiln rental option available.
Q. What kind of equipment do you have in the studio?
A. Slab roller, wall-mounted extruder, 8 pottery wheels, works in progress shelving, work tables, glazing section, communal tools, and more!

Q. What’s the average shipping speed?

After that, it depends on where the work is headed, but on average, people get their pieces approximately one week after ordering. You will receive an email when your orders have shipped with tracking numbers! (Regarding the few pieces still left for sale on the website).
